Fifteen years ago the company created a website with a consumer interface to give potential clients a place to find answers to their legal questions. From the beginning the company was able to monetize the website by setting up a membership model for interested attorneys. By fulfilling the promise of providing quality content and up-to-date resources, the company has grown and been consistently profitable.
The company founder recognized the opportunity to use the Internet to provide information to consumers then link them with qualified attorneys. Attorneys needed a way to market their skills, a forum to exchange ideas and a portal to educate clients. Beginning in 2006, the owner worked with other attorneys to start a separate but similar organization centered on legal assistance in another legal specialty. In 2013, the founder bought out his partners and merged the sites into the same legal entity.
Between the two divisions, the company now has recurring monthly and annual fee income from over 750 attorneys from 600 law firms in 46 states.
In addition to their attorney profiles on the websites, members, typically firms of 1-5 attorneys, receive innovative outsource marketing tools to build credibility and brand recognition in a crowded marketplace. By helping their members manage email contacts, generate e-newsletters with engaging content and create and host their websites, the company has become a vital resource for each of its members, especially for those smaller firms looking to outsource their marketing efforts. To enhance the value of its web hosting capability, the company has developed a proprietary plug-in that will integrate E-newsletter content with the law firm’s website.
